Short Bio

Jojo Fisher is a Nashville-born saxophonist, flutist, clarinetist, arranger, and educator whose versatility spans jazz, funk, R&B, and beyond. A proud graduate of Nashville’s public school system, he began playing saxophone at age ten and went on to earn the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and placement in MTSBOA’s Gold Band. At Belmont University, he has studied under Dr. Jeffrey Kirk and Dr. Alex Graham while performing with top ensembles such as Jazz Small Group 1, PHNX, and Wind Ensemble.

Jojo’s performance credits include the nationally broadcast Christmas at Belmont (2024), wedding and corporate bands like Universal Crush and Emerald Empire Band, and musical theater productions including The Little Mermaid and Swing. He is also active in recording sessions and performs with the new jazz group The Velvet Hour. Looking ahead, Jojo aims to establish his own ensemble and build a strong presence in Nashville’s music scene, balancing sideman work with his growing voice as a bandleader.
